Honkai: Star Rail is gearing up to launch an exciting array of content, including warp events, adversaries, and combat stages, in the forthcoming version 2.2 set to debut next month. The game recently marked its anniversary by giving away free pulls for players to use on limited banners. On this special day, the action RPG unveiled a lineup of characters and the Realm of Strange event, aiding Trailblazers in farming Cavern Relics, all slated for the version 2.2 update.
Similar to Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail regularly receives updates introducing new units available in temporary banners. Each version update for this space RPG entails adjustments to endgame enemy lineups, fresh combat events, and an expanded map with the addition of two Light Cones that act as signature weapons for newly introduced characters.
Honkai: Star Rail has unveiled the entirety of the new content arriving in version 2.2, confirming the inclusion of characters like Robin, Topaz, March 7th, Hanya, and Xueyi. These units will be accessible on limited-time banners starting from May 8. The impending update will introduce two consumables and three quality-of-life enhancements, including an enhanced version of the team edit feature. Furthermore, version 2.2 will introduce players to new foes, including The Great Septimus weekly boss and regular mobs.

As per HoYoverse's confirmation, version 2.2 of Honkai: Star Rail will bring forth four exciting events: Clockie: Dreamjoy Memoir, The Legend of the Galactic Baseballer, All About Boothill, and Gift of Odyssey. Trailblazers will have three weeks to partake in these events and earn rewards such as Special Rail Passes, the Harmony-based For Tomorrow's Journey Light Cone, Stellar Jades, and more. Additionally, in the initial phase of 2.2, Honkai: Star Rail Penacony will expand into the Dreamflux region.
Regarding the second phase of version 2.2, it will reintroduce four characters: Luka, Pela, Hook, and Fu Xuan. This update will also unveil Honkai: Star Rail's five-star Hunt character Boothill and his corresponding signature weapon, Sailing Towards a Second Life. Players can expect these characters and Light Cones to debut in early June.
In addition to the returning units, several Light Cones such as She Already Shut Her Eyes, Sailing Towards a Second Life, Geniuses' Repose, Landau's Choice, and A Secret Vow will be launched in the latter part of Honkai: Star Rail version 2.2. Trailblazers will utilize their Special Rail Passes on Brilliant Fixation and Bygone Reminiscence banners to unlock these weapons.
