Highlights

  • Introduction of new characters and changes to the 4-Star lineup
  • Analysis of character roles and team compositions in Version 4.6
  • Upcoming features in Version 4.6 and a sneak peek at Version 4.7 characters

Genshin Impact has revealed the Event Banners for the first half of Version 4.6, bringing surprising changes to its 4-Star character lineup. While 5-Star characters typically drive the popularity of Event Banners, the significance of certain 4-Star characters, like Fischl or Xingqiu, is crucial for novice accounts. Newer 4-Star additions often cater to specific roles, unlike launch characters.

Version 4.6 will introduce Arlecchino as a playable character in Genshin Impact, portraying a Fatui Harbinger expected to excel as a hypercarry. Arlecchino, a Pyro Polearm wielder, synergizes well with healers like Chevreuse for Overload teams and Bennett for other compositions. Yelan is recommended for Vaporize setups, while a mono Pyro team with Kazuha is also viable due to Arlecchino's reliance on Normal Attacks. Her Bond of Life ability necessitates a shield support, with Zhongli being a top choice when Chevreuse is not in use.

Disappointingly, Chevreuse and Bennett will not appear in the Event Banners for the first half of Version 4.6, as per HoYoverse's character lineup reveal. Freminet and Lynette will join Lyney and Arlecchino, completing the House of the Hearth roster. Xiangling replaces Chevreuse, offering value to new accounts as one of the best off-field Pyro characters. While this might upset players seeking more Chevreuse constellations, Xiangling's inclusion brings versatility to the lineup.

The character roster for Phase 1 of Genshin Impact Version 4.6 includes:

  • Arlecchino – 5-Star Pyro Polearm
  • Lyney – 5-Star Pyro Bow
  • Lynette – 4-Star Anemo Sword
  • Freminet – 4-Star Cryo Claymore
  • Xiangling – 4-Star Pyro Polearm

Version 4.6 promises significant updates, introducing the new Remuria zone, two Artifact Sets, a Story Quest for Arlecchino and Cyno, and a new Trounce Domain. Sethos, an Electro character from Sumeru, will debut in Version 4.7, scheduled for release in June 2024. Version 4.7 will also feature Sigewinne and Clorinde as new additions to the expanding roster of characters in Genshin Impact.
