Fire Emblem Heroes is gearing up to launch update 8.4.0 on April 3, according to Intelligent Systems. This forthcoming update will bring exclusive limited-time Combat Manuals and more opportunities to enhance armaments in the Fire Emblem Heroes Weapon Refinery, alongside various other modifications.
Despite Nintendo's claims that their mobile games are not primarily for profit, Fire Emblem Heroes has indeed been a financial success since its debut in early 2017. Based on a recent Statista study, this gacha game inspired by the renowned SRPG series has reportedly amassed over $826 million in revenue by late 2023.
Ongoing prosperity in live-service games like this is often attributed to frequent updates that introduce fresh content and events. The most recent update, labeled version 8.4.0, was officially disclosed in late March. Among the notable features in this update is a new set of Divine Codes, allowing players to exchange them for exclusive Combat Manuals. These manuals serve as storage for unwanted Fire Emblem Heroes units, freeing up valuable Barracks space.
Post-update, players can earn the new Divine Codes by participating in events. The 8.4.0 release will unveil seven unique Combat Manuals that players can craft using the Compile Combat Manual feature until May 28 at 7:59 AM local time. The global rollout of the patch is slated for April 3 and will not hinder fans from acquiring the preceding series of Divine Codes known as Ephemera 3.

The upcoming Fire Emblem Heroes update will broaden the array of upgradable armaments in the Weapon Refinery. Soon, players can enhance Hades Ω, Dark Scripture, Daniel-Made Bow, Astral Breath, and Bride's Fang. Expect new Memento Events and modifications to the Aether Raids mode, including raising the Tactics Room (O/D) level cap to 12 and incorporating two new songs from Fire Emblem Awakening and Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia into the Concert Hall Resort structure.
This impending update follows closely on the heels of the 8.3.0 patch released on March 5. The continuous flow of new content solidifies Fire Emblem Heroes as one of Nintendo's top mobile games even after more than seven years since its inception.
