Set in the war-torn Valisthea continent, Final Fantasy 16 follows Clive Rosfield's quest to harness the Dominants' powers and combat the encroaching Blight. The Rising Tide will transport players to Mysidia, a mysterious sanctuary unaffected by the Blight where they will encounter the Dominant of the legendary Leviathan Eikon.

What to Expect in FF16’s “The Rising Tide” DLC

The Rising Tide DLC offers a fresh narrative arc, moving away from the dungeon format of its predecessor, Echoes of the Fallen. Players can anticipate exploring a unique world map featuring iconic Tonberry enemies, accompanied by the new ally Shula. Additionally, the DLC will delve into Jill Warrick's backstory in Valisthea's northern territories, alongside epic battles against Leviathan and the acquisition of new gear.

Introducing Kairos Gate and Bonus Content

Players will wield Leviathan's aquatic abilities, utilizing its Eikonic Feat Serpent’s Cry for ranged attacks. Completing both DLC episodes and mastering all Eikons unlocks exclusive rewards, including a post-DLC epilogue quest. Kairos Gate introduces 20 challenging scenarios, global leaderboards, an enhanced upgrade system, and a formidable endgame encounter, offering a fresh and exciting experience for FF16 players.
