Fallout 76 has released a new Public Test Server (PTS) update, giving players a preview of what's in store with the Skyline Valley update scheduled for June 2024. Known as version 0.2.1472.0, this update brings about numerous enhancements and bug fixes, along with significant alterations to Fallout 76 Daily Ops.

Following the recent surge in player numbers due to the Fallout TV series on Amazon, Fallout 76 has been breaking records and maintaining high player counts, with over 50,000 concurrent players daily on Steam. The game's popularity peaked with nearly 70,000 players on Valve's platform during the last weekend of April.

As player interest remains high, Bethesda continues to update the game regularly. The latest update, 0.2.1472.0, rolled out on April 26, introducing a Public Test Server version available to all Steam users who own Fallout 76. This patch serves as a teaser for Skyline Valley, the third major update coming as part of the Expeditions: Atlantic City expansion.

The update brings back Fasnacht Day, an annual event from the Wild Appalachia update, with improvements to its performance and pacing. Players can experience the event hourly until April 29. Following this, Dangerous Pastimes will return permanently, with a mysterious nuke-related change hinted for April 29.

Bethesda's Tease and Daily Ops Enhancements

Players are encouraged to launch nukes in Fallout 76 for potential surprises. Additionally, the update introduces new Daily Ops locations and groups, rotating every two hours since the patch went live.

The patch also includes ten additional changes, such as added Ore Veins in Skyline Valley, revised event rewards, and fixes like addressing interaction issues at Hawksbill Weather Station doors. These alterations will be available to all players when the Skyline Valley update releases in June 2024.
