Warhorse Studios has made official the forthcoming release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance on the Nintendo Switch slated for March 15. This much-anticipated development is a significant one for fans of the expansive and well-received 2018 RPG.
The revelation of Kingdom Come's availability on the Switch came after months of speculation since its initial announcement in June 2021. The game, boasting a Very Positive rating of 82% on Steam, offers an estimated 41 hours of gameplay for its main quests alone. Completionists, on the other hand, might spend around 129 hours to fully explore the rich 15th-century Bohemian setting, now part of the Czech Republic.
Enthusiasts can now secure their copy of Kingdom Come Deliverance: Royal Edition on the Nintendo eShop for $50. This edition bundles all previous DLC, comprising five expansions, ensuring players a comprehensive gaming experience. While the impact on graphics remains uncertain post-porting to the Switch, Warhorse Studios has rolled out a teaser trailer showcasing the game's narrative and historical authenticity.
Release Date for 'Kingdom Come: Deliverance' on Switch
- March 15
Kingdom Come: Deliverance stands out as one of the most historically faithful games of recent times, not just in its narrative and backdrop but also in its gameplay mechanics. To maintain their character's well-being, players must manage basic needs like eating, drinking, and resting. Moreover, equipment such as armor, attire, and provisions will degrade over time, prompting users to stay vigilant about their inventory and future requirements. The Switch release date for Kingdom Come was disclosed during Nintendo's recent Direct Partner Showcase, which featured various other exciting announcements.
Nintendo also confirmed the upcoming arrival of two Xbox exclusives, Pentiment and Grounded, on the Switch this year. While Pentiment, another historical RPG, is already accessible, taking players on a 2D journey through 16th-century Bavaria to solve a chain of murders, Grounded is set to launch on the Switch on April 16.
Furthermore, in the Partner Showcase, Nintendo unveiled the comeback of Endless Ocean, a scuba-diving exploration series first introduced on the Wii. Endless Ocean: Luminous will enable players to embark on underwater expeditions solo or with up to 29 others, uncovering marine life and hidden treasures. The refreshed Endless Ocean promises a dynamic underwater world that evolves with each dive.
