  • This isn't the first time that a game patch has caused problems, but the developers are actively working to address the situation.

Battlestate Games, creators of Escape From Tarkov, have rolled out the highly-anticipated update 0.14. However, the update is facing stability issues, causing difficulties for players. Escape From Tarkov, known for its intense gameplay, is still in early access, which is why encountering issues with updates is not uncommon.

Escape From Tarkov, a tactical FPS launched in 2017, takes place in Russia, where two rival private military companies engage in raids. The game stands out for its intense gameplay, as players battle each other while striving to escape from an area. Following its release, Escape From Tarkov received acclaim for its realistic portrayal of combat, drawing inspiration from military simulation games and offering a hardcore gaming experience.

The new update, 0.14, has been rolled out by Battlestate Games for Escape From Tarkov. Regrettably, the update is encountering challenges, with many players facing issues while trying to download or play the game following its installation. Furthermore, the official website for Escape From Tarkov is currently undergoing maintenance. However, the developers are aware of the situation and are actively working to resolve the issue.

Once the update is functioning as intended, it will bring significant improvements to Escape From Tarkov. It will introduce new firearms, revamp the recoil system, and include new features, such as vaulting. Of particular note is the addition of a new map called Ground Zero. Unlike other maps in Escape From Tarkov, Ground Zero is restricted to players below level 20, providing a safe space for new players away from higher-level ones. Another noteworthy addition is the introduction of a new boss named Kollontay, who will be present in the Streets of Tarkov map, patrolling the area around Klimov Shopping Mall and the Tarkov Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Unfortunately, this isn't the first time that a game patch has caused issues for players. The 0.13 patch for Escape From Tarkov, released in December 2022, introduced new items, weapons, maps, and a restricted quest system. However, it also brought a new audio bug that affected some players. Fortunately, the developers addressed the issue, and it's anticipated that they will do the same for the current problems soon.
