Xur has made a return once more to Destiny 2, offering a range of exotic and legendary items for players to explore for a limited time. The recent Into The Light livestream event unveiled the final details of the upcoming update. Noteworthy mentions included the return of exotic missions like The Whisper and Zero Hour, enabling players to craft exotics like the Whisper of the Worm sniper rifle and Outbreak Perfected pulse rifle for the first time.

In parallel to the Into The Light stream, Bungie confirmed the revelation of the upcoming Final Shape expansion. After being postponed to June from February, Bungie has been relatively discreet about the expansion, but that will change with a special Final Shape expansion stream scheduled on Twitch starting April 9 at 9:30am PT.

As the weekend arrives, so does Xur, the merchant, bringing a fresh selection of exotics and legendary gear for Destiny 2 players. Follow this guide to discover his current location, insights on his exotic cipher quest, and an overview of the exotic and legendary gear available during the weekend of April 5, 2024.

Locating Xur

For the upcoming days, players should venture to Nessus to seek out Xur.

Fast travel to the Watcher's Grave on Nessus and head past the Vex area to the right. Proceed north along the path until you spot a massive tree on the right side of the zone. Climb up the tree to find Xur stationed on one of the large branches.

Destiny 2 Class Armor and Exotic Cipher

Xur continues to fulfill his role by offering weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. These quests are not only essential for purchasing a second fated engram but also for obtaining legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. By completing strikes and emerging victorious in crucible or gambit matches, players can earn a new cipher. Additional points can be gained by playing with clan mates or tackling more challenging activities.

Xur's Exotic Armor

Crown of Tempests - Warlock helmet

Exotic Perk:

  • Conduction Tines - Arc ability or jolt final blows increase the recharge rate of your Arc abilities and extend the duration of Stormtrance.

A favorable choice for Stormtrance enthusiasts, ensuring arc abilities remain charged. This week's roll is commendable overall, despite a mobility stat higher than necessary.

Stat Values (66 Total):

  • Mobility +15
  • Resilience +6
  • Recovery +13
  • Discipline +10
  • Intellect +2
  • Strength +20

Knucklehead Radar - Hunter helmet

Exotic Perk:

  • Upgraded Sensor Pack - Provides radar while you're aiming. Enhances your radar resolution while crouched. Visually marks targets. Deals more damage to low-health marked targets. Provides a small benefit to the airborne effectiveness stat of all weapons.

Knucklehead Radar is favored by many PvP players, offering valuable information for marking targets, dealing damage, and keeping the radar active while aiming. With a stat roll of 68, this is a worthwhile choice for PvP enthusiasts.

Stat Values (68 Total):

  • Mobility +13
  • Resilience +15
  • Recovery +7
  • Discipline +12
  • Intellect +15
  • Strength +6

An Insurmountable Skullfort - Titan helmet

Exotic Perk:

  • Transfusion Matrix - Kills with Arc melee abilities trigger health regeneration and restore melee energy.

Regrettably for Titans, this week's exotic has the lowest roll, coupled with a peculiar trend of granting Titans high mobility spikes. Despite being a decent exotic, the low roll and excessive mobility make this a challenging item to recommend.

Stat Values (63 total):

  • Mobility +14
  • Resilience +7
  • Recovery +13
  • Discipline +2
  • Intellect +8
  • Strength +19

Xur's Exotic Weapon

With the return of Whisper of the Worm looming, the D.A.R.C.I. sniper rifle faces significant competition. Despite being available for purchase about a month ago, this rifle remains potent for delivering precise damage and providing crucial target information.

Weapon Perks:

  • Personal Assistant - Aim at an enemy to view its health and other critical information in the scope.
  • Target Acquired - When Personal Assistant is active, this weapon has better target acquisition, deals significantly more precision damage, and jolts the target.
  • Extended Barrel
  • Extended Mag
  • Short-Action Stock

Hawkmoon Hand Cannon Perks

Currently, Xur only offers Hawkmoon with randomized rolls, but its availability will diminish once Harbinger is added to the Exotic Mission Rotator, making the hand cannon craftable. Here is the current roll for Hawkmoon:

Hawkmoon Rolls:

  • Fluted Barrel
  • Alloy Magazine
  • Moving Target
  • Combat Grip
