Bungie recently shared a wealth of fresh details about Destiny 2: The Final Shape during a revealing developer stream. The updates include the innovative Prismatic subclass, exotic armor capable of borrowing perks from alternate gear, and formidable new adversaries awaiting players. April 9 marked a significant day for the Destiny 2 community, with the launch of the highly anticipated Into The Light experience for all players. The update introduced a new PvE-style game mode named Onslaught, the Hall of Champions social space, and a collection of 12 beloved weapons making a return, such as Hammerhead, Recluse, and Mountaintop, forming the Brave Arsenal set.

Alongside the release of Into The Light, Bungie hinted at the forthcoming expansion, The Final Shape. Originally scheduled for a February launch, The Final Shape aims to conclude the 10-year journey that Destiny 2 players have embarked on, wrapping up the Light and Darkness Saga. Despite this closure, the studio has additional plans for the game and franchise. During a recent livestream, Bungie teased a plethora of new content featured in The Final Shape.

The Final Shape introduces the unique Prismatic subclass, offering a twist on traditional gameplay mechanics. This subclass enables players to blend Light and Dark abilities, with two bars beneath the super meter for each power type. Once both bars are filled, players transcend with a potent mix of abilities. Demonstrating the versatility of this class, the stream showcased a high-octane battle against new enemy types, including a Subjugator, within a distorted version of the original Tower space from the first Destiny. Employing a combination of Solar, Stasis, and Arc abilities, the player efficiently dispatched the adversaries.
