Among them, Radscorpions pose a significant threat that could disrupt your Vault life and expeditions in the Wasteland. Understanding how to overcome them is crucial for your gameplay.

Effective Strategies to Defeat Radscorpions

In Fallout Shelter, Radscorpions present the most perilous challenge to your Vault and its inhabitants. These creatures not only inflict significant physical harm but also introduce radiation damage that can deplete up to half of your Vault's power reserves.

While Radscorpion incursions within your Vault are deadly, encountering them during quests is also a possibility. Unlike the Radscorpions invading your Vault, those encountered on quests usually do not inflict radiation damage unless they appear as a green, glowing Radscorpion.

Radscorpion attacks typically commence once your Vault houses 50 Dwellers or more, or 35 Dwellers or more in Survival Mode. Evading Radscorpion assaults is impossible unless you maintain your Dweller count below these thresholds. When Radscorpions strike, your Dwellers automatically retaliate. To ensure their survival and prosperity, consider implementing some precautions as your Vault advances.

Primarily, Radscorpions do not breach your Vault through the entrance, affording you the opportunity to relocate Dwellers to safety within this area during an attack, sparing them from engaging in the confrontation. Enhancing your odds of surviving Radscorpion attacks involves equipping your Dwellers with potent weaponry and distributing these arms to as many inhabitants as feasible. It is advisable to arm at least one Dweller per room at a minimum and ideally equip all Dwellers, as unarmed individuals resort to using fists in combat, rendering them vulnerable to overpowering.
