  • Earn rewards and shape the destinies of key characters in the game

As players reunite Antea and Red in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, they are faced with pivotal choices that will alter the course of the characters' lives. Venturing through the Haunting Case of Benedict and Jacob leads them to the settlement in the Dark Woods, overseen by Thickskin. Shortly thereafter, players are presented with two tasks to undertake.

One task involves assisting the blacksmith, while the other is tied to the cook. These tasks can be completed in any order without impacting the main storyline's progression. The cook's dilemma, named Prudence In All Things, requires players to investigate Prudence's residence and uncover clues related to the issue at hand. Once all pertinent information is gathered, a decision must be made regarding the fates of Prudence and Thomas.

The Dilemma of Blaming Prudence

Upon acquiring all available information, it is unveiled that Prudence is a French spy who betrayed the colony by destroying food supplies, resulting in the populace's suffering. Prudence's actions exacerbated the colony's already precarious state.

If the player chooses to blame Prudence, Red will extract her essence and terminate her. This decision impacts Antea's resurrection and aids in her revival later in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. Blaming Prudence also triggers Thomas to go on a rampage, necessitating his defeat.

Choosing Between Ascending or Banishing Thomas

Thomas's deep love for Prudence led to his ghost haunting her, driven by the desire to help her escape New Eden and embark on a new life elsewhere. Opting to Ascend Thomas permits him to depart peacefully, contributing to Antea's Ascent. Given Thomas's selfless intentions towards his wife's well-being, ascending him is a more fitting choice.

If the player decides to Banish Thomas, the process is more severe. Prudence expresses dissatisfaction with Red's decision, visibly distraught by the outcome. Banishing Thomas also plays a part in Antea's Ascent.

Rewards of Prudence In All Things

Prudence In All Things stands as one of the less complex Haunting Cases in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. Beginning with an investigation of Prudence's abode, players follow the trail of clues until they are equipped to bring closure to the matter. Completing this quest grants players an Essence essential for unlocking new abilities for Red and Antea.
