The collaboration could not have come at a better time.

A Dead Space Collaboration Demands a Better Opportunity

Unfortunately, this could signal a missed opportunity for Dead by Daylight. Dead Space's remake launched in January 2023, and after a year, there has been no sign of the game coming to Dead by Daylight. Although it's still popular, there wouldn't be as much impact if a collaboration between the two were to be announced now. However, if a new Dead Space game is announced, then the environment would be perfect for such a collaboration to take place. Until then, the idea of Dead Space characters in Dead by Daylight may have to wait.

While there is still no confirmation of such an idea, Dead Space is one of the best examples of an obviously needed Dead by Daylight crossover. It's a big horror game IP, and the crossover would have a lot of potential. The only issue is that the timing wouldn't be right for such a move. Dead Space needs something to happen before it gets announced as another license for Dead by Daylight. Dead by Daylight could do well with Dead Space, but the time isn't right yet.
