Amidst these major reveals, the indie sensation, Dave the Diver, also took center stage with some thrilling announcements.
During the latest State of Play, a new trailer revealed that Dave the Diver is on its way to PlayStation in April. While the developer refrained from specifying the exact release date, this announcement means that PlayStation fans will soon have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the game. In addition to the April release window for PS4 and PS5, the trailer unveiled a captivating crossover update, announcing the arrival of Godzilla in the pixelated world of Dave the Diver through a free DLC. It's important to note that this new content is slated for release in May, and the developer has not divulged many details about how the colossal kaiju will be integrated into the game. However, fans caught a glimpse of The King of the Monsters towards the end of the trailer, as the creature emerged from the water.

According to the developer, the game will leverage the haptic feedback of the controller to deliver a more immersive experience when the player catches fish. This announcement for Dave the Diver comes on the heels of the game already garnering significant acclaim from fans. Following its full release in June 2023, the game received a nomination for Best Indie Game at The Game Awards 2023. Although Dave the Diver didn't secure the award, it underscored the game’s popularity, currently boasting an Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam with over 84,443 reviews at the time of writing. With a large player base enjoying the captivating blend of adventure, RPG, and management elements in Dave the Diver, the potential expansion of the game’s availability to include Xbox consoles remains to be seen.
