Following the introduction of the Sins of the Flesh update, numerous new mechanics have enriched the world of Cult of the Lamb. Among these, Sins have emerged as a valuable currency, accumulating within the bodies of your followers. However, misusing this currency can lead to dire consequences, including the departure of your followers from the cult.

Understanding the Impact of Sins on Followers

Excessive exposure to Sin can result in a follower becoming damned and subsequently leaving the cult. However, all hope is not lost as the path to healing lies in death. To regain a damned follower, you must go through the process of killing and resurrecting them.

To achieve this, players need to embark on a Crusade and defeat the cursed cult member three times. The follower will appear as an enemy in the first and last stages, so ensure to select at least one intermediate stage with a sword to defeat them for the third time. Following the final defeat, the cursed soul is cleansed through death, paving the way for resurrection.

Resurrecting a follower involves performing the Ritual of Resurrection at the altar, selecting the character's name from the list, and investing 75 bones. Upon completion, the follower will return to the cult in their original form prior to the curse.

Preventing Curse and Loss of Followers

The cause of cursed followers leaving the cult lies in the excessive greed exhibited by players. Continuous exposure to Sin and its extraction render the follower's body incapable of withstanding it, ultimately leading to their departure. Accumulating Sin, primarily through visits to the Drinkhouse, is a principal factor contributing to this outcome.

To prevent this, it is essential to avoid repeatedly filling the Sin scale of the same follower. Extracting 1–2 Sins in a row should prompt a change in the followers exposed to Sin, allowing them time to recuperate. By adhering to this practice, players can evade curses and alleviate the challenges faced by their cult.
