Call of Duty: Warzone made its debut in 2020, entering the battle royale scene leveraging the established Call of Duty franchise's popularity. The game's regular updates to maps and weapons have kept it engaging, ensuring a loyal player base that eagerly anticipates each new release.

Activision's Ban on Call of Duty Boosters

Reports of an upsurge in cheaters dominating the Call of Duty: Warzone leaderboards have prompted Activision to take action. A recent announcement from the official Call of Duty Updates account on Twitter indicates a zero-tolerance policy towards players involved in any form of Skill Rating boosting. While skill-based matchmaking has long been a feature of Call of Duty, artificially boosted Skill Ratings are now a pressing concern in Call of Duty: Warzone. Activision's TeamRicochet has already issued 29,000 bans to offenders, coupled with a stark warning against inflating SR.

Bots, hacks, cheats, and boosting services have plagued multiplayer games for years, and the issue has escalated within Call of Duty: Warzone. Activision is adamant about eradicating this behavior, emphasizing that accounts engaging in such activities will face bans. The company has recently introduced a new measure to counter cheats by shutting down the application upon detecting aim assist.
