Call of Duty: Warzone has rolled out a significant tweak to the Renetti's JAK Ferocity Carbine Kit, a move prompted by recent controversies. Previously, this Call of Duty: Warzone pistol add-on had propelled the Renetti to a dominant position, overshadowing most other primary choices in the game.

Responding to vocal dissatisfaction from the Warzone community, the game developers at Call of Duty have confirmed a Renetti nerf to address the prevailing concerns. While the Renetti itself remains a dependable sidearm, its JAK Ferocity Carbine Kit elevates it into a compact SMG, offering players the flexibility to attach various mods. After adjustments to other popular SMGs and buffs to the Renetti, gamers quickly recognized the potency of a fully customized JAK Ferocity Renetti in close combat situations, leading to claims of it being too dominant. Luckily, the Warzone development team has taken action.

The Renetti JAK Ferocity Carbine Kit now features reduced maximum damage, minimum damage, maximum damage range, lower torso damage multiplier, and arms and hands damage multiplier, each lowered by different percentages. The most notable alterations include a drop in max damage from 36 to 28 and a decrease in max damage range from 17.52 meters to 12.44 meters. These changes are anticipated to have a noticeable impact on the effectiveness of the Renetti kit, especially in scenarios outside of close-range combat. The Renetti nerf constituted the sole modification in the April 10 update for Warzone, underscoring the significance accorded to this issue by the game's development team.

Players seeking an alternative SMG experience in Warzone now have a variety of choices, with options such as Call of Duty's HRM-9 and Striker 9 currently in vogue. Additionally, the newly introduced FJX Horus SMG in Season 3 offers another avenue for exploration, although it may not match the raw power of the aforementioned selections, it presents an intriguing option to experiment with.

In a separate update on April 9, Warzone saw the addition of ground vehicles to Rebirth Island along with bug fixes and minor enhancements. The next significant update for Warzone is expected to coincide with Season 3 Reloaded, slated for an early May release. Call of Duty's roadmap has teased forthcoming updates in Season 3, including the reintroduction of Weapon Trade Stations, the Specialist Perk Package, and the novel killstreak Foresight.

Recent leaks from Call of Duty have hinted at the potential arrival of two weapons, the Kar98k sniper rifle and SPAS-12 shotgun, to Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone in the foreseeable future. These classic armaments might headline a future battle pass, although this remains speculative at present.
