Treyarch recently announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's Ranked Play will soon welcome two fresh maps, Vista and Departures, set to debut on March 25. These additions will be subject to community feedback, determining their inclusion in the professional circuit of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

The most recent tweak to Ranked Play occurred on March 13, with the removal of the JAK Glassless Optic and adjustments to Skidrow's Hardpoint spawns, aimed at enhancing player experience. In an earlier update in February, a post-launch map from Season 1, Rio, was integrated into Ranked Play. This ongoing trend suggests Call of Duty's commitment to diversifying the map pool.

In a recent tweet from Treyarch, it was confirmed that the two new maps will be available in Ranked Play starting March 25, across all game modes within the Ranked environment. To gauge player reception and potential inclusion in the official Call of Duty League map rotation, Treyarch encourages users to provide feedback through Twitter using the MW3RankedPlay hashtag.

Exciting Updates on Vista and Departures in Modern Warfare 3 Ranked Play

If the new maps resonate positively with players, there is a possibility of phasing out less popular ones like Invasion and Terminal in specific modes. Apart from this news, Call of Duty enthusiasts also received an update addressing concerns around the Longbow sniper rifle, adjusting its aim assist mechanics and flinch response for better gameplay balance. Additionally, adjustments were made to the BAS-B's JAK Outlaw-277 conversion kit.

Furthermore, Sledgehammer hinted at the potential return of the classic mode, Capture the Flag, a beloved feature from Black Ops 2's League Play, the franchise's inaugural ranked mode. While nostalgic, its reappearance in the current Call of Duty competitive landscape remains uncertain. It's worth noting that the revival of Capture the Flag is yet to be confirmed.
