In the midst of Season 1, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has rolled out its mid-season Reloaded update, introducing the new 6v6 Rio map and bringing back The Boys' crossover, offering A-Train and Firecracker as playable operators.

Prior to Modern Warfare 3, Sledgehammer's previous Call of Duty installment, the World War 2-themed Vanguard, received a lukewarm reception in 2021. With its overused setting and lackluster story campaign, it failed to meet player expectations, and its divisive multiplayer suite struggled to satisfy the loyal Call of Duty fanbase. Of particular interest was the inclusion of Vanguard's Das Haus map, set to be featured in various 6v6 Mosh Pit playlists. The potential return of Das Haus to Modern Warfare 3 seems fitting, considering the game already hosts notoriously compact and chaotic maps like Shipment, Rust, and its latest original addition, Meat.

Although unconfirmed, there is speculation that Das Haus may resurface as part of the anticipated Season 2, as new Call of Duty seasons typically introduce at least one new map. However, Sledgehammer has committed to developing new original maps for future seasons, leaving open the possibility of Das Haus being paired with a never-before-seen 6v6 map.
