Call of Duty has officially announced the arrival of two new weapons, the HRM-9 and the TAQ Evolvere, in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone on January 17 as part of the Season 1 Reloaded patch.

Modern Warfare 3 boasts an impressive arsenal of weapons, including classic favorites like the ACR (now known as the MCW) and the UMP (now called the Striker), alongside newer additions such as the Longbow and the BAS-B. The two latest weapons were initially unveiled in Call of Duty's Season 1 roadmap last December, and the development team has now confirmed their imminent release.

On January 17, players can expect the HRM-9, a 9mm submachine gun designed for close-quarters combat, and the TAQ Evolvere, a multi-caliber LMG offering exceptional versatility, to be added to Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. The HRM-9 is described as a lightweight and stable submachine gun with high mobility and handling, catering to aggressive playstyles. It will be obtainable through an Armory Unlock challenge. The TAQ Evolvere, on the other hand, is an advanced LMG capable of firing different calibers with minimal adjustments, making it effective against infantry and killstreaks. Players can unlock it by completing a Weekly Challenge.

What Guns will be Added to Call of Duty with Season 1 Reloaded?

  • HRM-9 Submachine Gun
  • TAQ Evolvere LMG

Similar to previous weapon introductions in Call of Duty, the HRM-9 and the TAQ Evolvere are expected to bring new camos to the game. Each weapon will feature four unlockable camos in Multiplayer and four in Zombies, further enriching the array of weapon and camo choices in Modern Warfare 3.

The impact of these new weapons on Modern Warfare 3's current gun meta remains uncertain. In Multiplayer, the HRM-9 is likely to make a significant impression, given the historical strength of SMGs in 6v6 Call of Duty gameplay. In Warzone, the Evolvere may have an edge due to its effectiveness at longer ranges and higher time-to-kill, although the HRM-9 could also prove to be formidable in Warzone.

Aside from the introduction of these two new guns, Season 1 Reloaded will bring a host of other features to Call of Duty, including a new win condition in Warzone, a new 6v6 map, and additional Multiplayer game modes.

  • Call of Duty: Warzone

Warzone is a free-to-play battle royale game in the long-running Call of Duty series. The game has seen over 100 million active players and features several different gameplay modes.
