Highlights

  • Bloober Team partners with Take-Two Interactive to develop a new game.
  • Project C, based on an original IP, is set for a 2024 reveal.
  • The game will be published by Take-Two's Private Division.

Bloober Team, known for its horror games, has joined forces with a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive to create a new game based on an original concept. The studio has confirmed the existence of this mysterious project along with another undisclosed game currently in development.

Hailing from Kraków, Poland, Bloober Team is an independent game developer famous for its psychological horror titles like Observer and the Layers of Fear series. The announcement of a Silent Hill 2 remake in October 2022 added to the studio's reputation.

Partnership with Private Division for 'Project C'

Alongside the ongoing work on the Silent Hill 2 remake, Bloober Team is gearing up for Project C, an innovative venture based on a new intellectual property. The studio revealed details about this collaboration with Take-Two Interactive's Private Division in its recent financial report. Bloober Team will retain full ownership of Project C's IP, with plans to unveil the game by the end of 2024.

'Project R' Scheduled for 2025

The shareholder letter also provided an update on Project R, a title introduced in December 2023, based on an IP owned by Skybound Entertainment, founded by The Walking Dead co-creator Robert Kirkman. Project R is expected to premiere in 2025, indicating a release rather than just an announcement.

Since Private Division primarily focuses on indie game publishing, Project C is likely to be a smaller-scale project compared to the Silent Hill 2 remake. The exact start date of Project C's development is unknown, but Bloober Team's aim to reveal it by the end of 2024 suggests years of work have already gone into it.

It remains uncertain whether Project C or Project R will be unveiled before the Silent Hill 2 remake arrives on the PS5. The remake of Konami's survival horror classic is anticipated to launch in 2024, potentially receiving a release date during an upcoming PlayStation event.
