To begin, you must establish a small village outside Haerndean's borders. This village serves as your central hub, requiring gradual expansion to grow your territory. Given the game's open-world nature and lack of detailed tutorials, players often seek guidance on initiating their journey and constructing the Personal Shack.

Acquiring Wood

In Bellwright, gathering resources, particularly Wood, is fundamental for survival and constructing a Personal Shack. Initially limited in options, players can collect Sticks or Deadwood scattered across the ground in the expansive jungle near Haerndean to obtain wood pieces.

Alternatively, a more efficient method involves felling Young Trees in the jungle after crafting an axe.

Crafting an Axe

Crafting an axe in Bellwright requires 6 Wood and 2 Crude Stone. By scavenging for these materials in the village and surrounding areas, players can easily create this essential tool.

Obtaining Flax

Locating Flax early in the game can be challenging, especially within the jungle. To facilitate resource gathering, consider setting up your base in the southwest fields of Haerndean, rich in Flax and other vital materials like sage.

Constructing the Shelter

With 10 Wood and 6 Flax in hand, players can craft the Personal Shaft.
