In the world of Baldur's Gate 3, a plethora of intriguing items awaits discovery, each with the potential to enhance your character's capabilities or provide a significant advantage in specific battles.

Among these valuable items lies the Worgfang dagger. This unique weapon is particularly effective against Goblin foes, making it an invaluable asset during Act 1 of your adventure. Therefore, understanding how to obtain this dagger early on and where to find it is crucial for success.

Acquiring the Worgfang in Baldur's Gate 3

In Baldur's Gate 3, you can obtain the Worgfang dagger during Act 1. Since this weapon provides a significant advantage against Goblins, securing it early is essential, given that Goblins are the primary adversaries you'll face in Act 1.

To acquire the Worgfang, you must complete the Free Halsin Quest during Act 1. This quest begins by interacting with the Druids in Emerald Grove, who are searching for their missing leader, Halsin, last seen pursuing the Goblins.

Once you start the Rescue the Druid Halsin quest, proceed to the Goblin Camp. Follow the path from Emerald Grove through the forest to the Blighted Village, then continue downhill, cross the bridge, and enter the Goblin's Camp courtyard. Inside the courtyard, find the abandoned Selunite temple known as Shattered Sanctum.

Within the Shattered Sanctum, locate the Worg Pens accessible through a door near coordinates X: 342, Y: 26.

Inside the Worg Pens, you'll encounter Goblins, two cages (one with Worgs and the other with a Bear). If you can Speak With Animals, the Bear will request liberation, leading to a battle but granting you access to the hidden Worgfang within the Worg cage.

If you lack the ability to Speak With Animals, you can engage in combat by attacking Goblins or unlocking the Bear's cage with Thieves Tools. Once the skirmish ends, the Bear will reveal itself as Druid Halsin in disguise. Explore the Worg Pens, loot the area, and find the Worgfang hidden among bones near coordinates X: 386, Y: -16.

Unleashing the Power of the Worgfang Dagger

Worgfang Abilities:

  • Goblin's Undoing: Imposes Disadvantage on Goblins' Attack Rolls against the wielder.

The Worgfang dagger automatically hinders Goblins' attacks against its wielder, providing a significant advantage throughout Act 1. This advantage proves invaluable when facing the Goblin Camp or collaborating with other factions against the Goblins.

To maximize the dagger's efficacy, equip it on a character proficient with daggers such as Rogues. Rogues not only impose Disadvantage on Goblin attacks but can also gain Advantage through various abilities like Sneak Attack. Alternatively, Rangers and Bards with high Dexterity can also benefit from wielding the Worgfang in combat.

Mastering the use of the Worgfang dagger can greatly enhance your combat prowess in Baldur's Gate 3, especially when strategically deployed against Goblin adversaries.
