Baldur’s Gate 3 presents players with a plethora of intriguing weapons waiting to be discovered and wielded by their characters. Among these weapons lies the enigmatic Blood of Lathander, a coveted prize that demands dedication and perseverance to obtain.

The journey to acquire the Blood of Lathander is riddled with trials and puzzles, promising a rewarding experience for those who dare to venture forth.

Navigating the Enigmatic Rosymorn Monastery

To reach the elusive Rosymorn Monastery, adventurers must traverse the treacherous Mountain Pass region, located north of the Blighted Village. It's advisable to wrap up all loose ends in Act 1 before embarking on this quest, as it may impact ongoing events in the Grove.

Upon reaching the monastery, a waypoint stands adjacent, guiding players to enter through a shattered window within its walls. Those familiar with the area can utilize waypoints for swift access to the Monastery or the Crèche.

Unearthing the 4 Ceremonial Weapons

Delving deeper into the Rosymorn Monastery, players will encounter a peculiar chamber adorned with stained painted glass on the floor. Solving the enigma of this room is crucial for claiming the Blood of Lathander later on.

The chamber houses four altars, three of which remain bare while one cradles a sword – the Ceremonial Longsword. It's imperative not to claim the sword immediately, as it serves as a hint for the upcoming task.

Players must collect the remaining three ceremonial weapons and place each on its designated altar to unveil the hidden chamber and secure a vital item.

Acquiring the Ceremonial Mace

The Ceremonial Mace can typically be obtained by defeating the Kobold encountered upon entering the Rosymorn Monastery. If the ceremonial mace is unavailable, any mace will suffice, unlike the other weapons.

Obtaining the Ceremonial Battleaxe

To lay claim to the Ceremonial Battleaxe, players must vanquish the Guardian of Faith located in a room beyond the stained glass chamber. Access to this room can be gained through a broken window or by picking the lock on its door.

Securing the Ceremonial Warhammer

The Ceremonial Warhammer awaits players beyond the guardian's chamber, nestled amidst ascending veins. Players may need to combat and overcome eagles to seize this weapon.

Cracking the Puzzle

Armed with the ceremonial weapons, players must return to the stained glass chamber. There, each weapon must be placed on its respective altar to unlock the stone wall and reveal a pouch containing a note for the next Dawnmaster, along with the Dawnmaster’s crest.

In instances where acquiring the ceremonial weapons poses a challenge, players can employ a thieves’ tool to unlock the stone wall without completing the puzzle, albeit requiring a 30 Dexterity check for success.

Venturing into the Crèche Y’llek

Possessing the Dawnmaster’s crest, players must now proceed to the Crèche Y’llek. Navigating through the stairwell and past a statue leads them to this destination, with the option to teleport using a waypoint if previously explored.

Within the Crèche, players may need to negotiate entry and eventually locate the captain’s quarters. There, they must acquire the Gith Shard from Kith’rak Therezzyn through pickpocketing or combat, with the former being the less confrontational choice.

Inserting the Gith Shard into the Githyanki Barrier Disruptor unveils the path forward.

Confronting The Inquisitor’s Chamber

Upon entry, players are likely to engage in a skirmish with Ch’r’ai W’wargaz, intent on seizing the player’s artifact. Defeating him leads to a confrontation with Vlaakith, the Githyanki Queen, who demands the player eliminate their guardian – an impossible task.

Subsequently, the Crèche turns hostile, setting the stage for the final pursuit of the Blood of Lathander.

Activating The Path with Statues

Adjacent to Ch’r’ai W’wargaz's chamber, players discover two statues pivotal for unlocking the path ahead. Aligning these statues to face the direction of the rising and setting sun on the map triggers the opening of a passage.

In case the statues resist movement, players with higher Strength can reposition them or resort to slight damage. Beyond lies a door marking the commencement of the quest for the Blood of Lathander.

Unveiling the Blood of Lathander

Within the concealed chamber, a series of challenges await players. Disabling the energy source in the initial room and disarming the Dawnbreaker in the subsequent chamber are key steps to progress. Ascending past the Dawnbreaker reveals another energy source to shatter, leading to the final breakthrough.

The climactic moment arrives as players ascend the stairs to claim the coveted Blood of Lathander. Before grasping the prize, players must first insert the Dawnmaster’s crest into the designated panel.

With the Blood of Lathander secured, a swift exit from the Crèche becomes imperative as hostility looms, marking the end of a perilous yet rewarding quest.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is now available for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 5 enthusiasts to embark on their own epic journeys.
