If you're on the hunt for rare Sunset Reeds, head to the Mother of Rivers domain within the Upper Plains, approximately 1.5km northwest of The Circle. This domain is home to Doula's Stream and Daughter's Pool, the locations where you'll find exquisite and superior Sunset Reeds.
When you reach Doula's Stream and Daughter's Pool, keep an eye out for red reeds growing in bunches close to the water. Viewing these bunches with Na'vi Senses will reveal the Sunset Reeds that can be harvested. Use the inspect feature to determine which specimens are of superior and exquisite rarity. Once you've located such a specimen, find the perfect angle for harvesting the material to receive the pristine bonus.
If you check the Sunset Reed entry in the Hunter's Guide, you'll find that this Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora material is at its best quality when Blood Leaf Pollen is present. To ensure this, there must be a thunderstorm or hurricane, as the wind created by these weather effects will blow the pollen from the nearby crimson trees onto the Sunset Reeds.
