What's the Timeline for the Asus ROG Ally 2?

In a statement to Techlusive, Vice President Arnold Su indicated that Asus plans to maintain the momentum by releasing the successor later this year. Su mentioned that the upcoming Asus ROG Ally successor will continue to run on Windows OS but will be more focused on gaming. He stated, 'We most likely will launch a second generation [handheld gaming console] this year. We will still keep the Windows features, but we will focus more on gaming.'

Although Su did not disclose specific details about the successor, he did highlight the strong sales of the Asus ROG Ally in India, where it has sold between 70,000 and 80,000 units.

While the current specs of the Asus ROG Ally are impressive, potential enhancements for its successor may include software improvements, ergonomic enhancements, extended battery life, an upgrade to the Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor, and an increase in base storage capacity from 512 GB to 1 TB. However, these are speculative at this stage, and fans eagerly awaiting Asus' next handheld gaming device should stay tuned for official updates.
