Basim in Assassin's Creed Mirage can now sport Eivor's legendary Raven Clan outfit from the well-received Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Released in 2020, Valhalla marked Ubisoft's latest expansive RPG-style addition to the Assassin's Creed series, immersing players in the Viking era of Anglo-Saxon England alongside the protagonist Eivor, a member of the Raven Clan.
In response to some fans feeling overwhelmed by Valhalla's vast scale and combat-centric gameplay, Assassin's Creed Mirage was crafted to bring the franchise back to its roots, offering a more compact, stealth-oriented experience. Set in 9th century Baghdad prior to Valhalla's events, Mirage follows the tale of Basim Ibn Ishaq, a character first encountered in Valhalla during Eivor's journey. With a smaller map, enhanced stealth mechanics, and a combat system that encourages evasion over confrontation, Mirage has been well-received by fans nostalgic for the series' earlier iterations.
Ubisoft recently unveiled Eivor's robes from Assassin's Creed Valhalla as a wearable ensemble for Basim in Mirage. In a teaser shared on Twitter, Basim is showcased donning Eivor's attire while navigating the streets of Baghdad. This sartorial tribute is fitting, given Basim's origin in Eivor's narrative. To acquire the Eivor costume, Mirage players must link their UbiConnect accounts for a complimentary outfit.
Eivor's Attire in Assassin's Creed Mirage
In Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Eivor's Raven Clan Armor Set evolves in appearance as players advance. Basim's rendition of the outfit appears to mirror various stages of the robes. Notably, Eivor's elongated cloak, designed for stealth maneuvers, is absent from Basim's version. This omission aligns with the divergent stealth dynamics between Valhalla and Mirage, where Basim opts for a different style. Besides Eivor, Basim can also don the attire of past iconic assassins like Altair and Ezio in Mirage. Future updates may introduce additional legendary assassin garbs, such as Connor from Assassin's Creed 3 or Edward Kenway from Black Flag.
The next installment in the series, Assassin's Creed Red, rumored to launch later this year, is eagerly anticipated by fans. Set in ancient Japan, this forthcoming RPG-style entry has generated significant excitement within the community. The upcoming Ubisoft Forward event scheduled for June 10 is expected to unveil Assassin's Creed Red and potentially announce its release date, further fueling anticipation among enthusiasts.
