Amazon Offers Limited Free Access to Popular Fallout Games for Prime Members

Highlights

  • Amazon Prime members can now play Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas for free.
  • The free offer is exclusive to Luna versions of the games, restricting availability to select countries.
  • Additional Fallout games are also accessible for free to Prime members.

Amazon has pleasantly surprised its Prime members by granting them complimentary access to some of the most beloved Fallout games in existence, such as Fallout: New Vegas. However, there's a twist – this offer is specifically tied to the company's cloud gaming service, meaning that only a limited number of Fallout enthusiasts from certain countries can make the most of it.

This promotion is primarily aimed at commemorating the launch of the Fallout TV series. The TV adaptation, produced by Amazon, premiered to predominantly favorable reviews on April 10.

The day after the series debut, Amazon decided to expand its Prime Gaming selection to include Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. While the subscription service typically distributes game store codes, this particular offer requires members to access the games through Luna, Amazon's cloud gaming service. Fallout 3 and New Vegas will be freely available to Luna users until October 2024. This six-month window to enjoy the games will only be accessible to Prime members residing in Luna-supported countries: the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

All Fallout Games Available for Free with Prime Gaming

As a result of this development, Amazon subscribers now have the opportunity to play up to four installments of the legendary franchise without any additional cost; Fallout 76 is also included as a free Prime Gaming title for April 2024, starting immediately, while Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel has been free to claim since late March. The 2001 strategy RPG is provided through GOG, and Fallout 76 is accessible to Prime members in the form of either an Xbox or Microsoft Store code. Unlike Fallout 3 and New Vegas, both Fallout Tactics and Fallout 76 are yours to keep forever.

From April 11 onwards, Prime members can claim three additional games for free, including the delightful puzzle adventure Drawn: Trail of Shadows. The stylish escape game Faraway 3: Arctic Escape is also part of this month's offerings, alongside Demon's Tilt, a fast-paced pinball game with a supernatural theme. While these unique titles all boast predominantly positive user feedback, the standout additions undoubtedly remain the Fallout series.

Beyond these complimentary games, the company is also exploring innovative methods to promote its latest Prime Video exclusive. In line with this, the Fallout TV series has now inspired a themed burger meal in collaboration with Grubhub. This distinct offering premiered in New York City and Los Angeles on April 11 but quickly sold out, as only 150 meals were made available in each city.
